Valentine Visits Stamford for Charity

STAMFORD, Conn, -- Stamford native Bobby Valentine will make his first public appearance since being named manager of the Boston Red Sox in a charitable event on Sunday, Jan. 29, at Rippowam Middle School. Valentine will appear to raise funds for fans4thecure.org, which increases the awareness of prostate cancer. Valentine will visit from 5:30-7:30 p.m, at Rippowam, where Valentine was a star high school athlete. Valentine and baseball broadcaster Ed Randall will hold a baseball "Hot Stove" discussion. Doors open at 4:45 p.m. Tickets cost $40 and prizes include Red Sox tickets, autographed items and more. Tickets are available at Bobby V’s Sports Gallery in Stamford or online. Tickets are $50 at the door.
