STAMFORD, Conn. — Stamford’s Curtain Call theater company will stage Oscar Wilde’s “The Importance of Being Earnest” for its next production. The social comedy will debut Feb. 3, marking the 40th anniversary of the Kweskin Theatre.

Director Stephen DiRocco will lead a local cast that includes Stamford’s Ryan Hendrickson, Rebecca Judelson and Sarah Smegal, a Curtain Call press release said. This marks the directorial debut for DiRocco, a veteran actor at the Kweskin Theatre. 

“Stephen and I talked a lot about this production as we were planning the season, and he has done a terrific job with this amazing material – aided by a terrific cast,” Lou Ursone, executive director of Curtain Call, said in the release.

After kicking off Feb. 3, “The Importance of Being Earnest” will play every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night at 8 p.m. and Sunday afternoons at 2 p.m. through Feb. 18.
