STAMFORD, Conn. — Gilbert W. Griswold died at home Feb. 13, one day after his 57th birthday. The lifelong Stamford resident was born Feb. 12, 1955.
Griswold worked for First Student for more than 30 years as a bus driver before retiring. In his free time, he enjoyed martial arts, tattoos, Harley-Davidson motorcycles, traveling and wildlife, especially wolves and sharks as well as his parrots, Conure and Rascal, and his cat, Moorea.
He is survived by his five sisters, Ann Funaros and her husband Skeets, Ruth Harris and her husband Roger, Pat Williams and her husband Joseph, Gail Fagan, and Nancy Borsey and her husband Mark; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister, Cathy Griswold.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Wolf Conservation Center, 7 Black Run, South Salem, NY 10590.
