STAMFORD, Conn. — Stamford police arrested a man Thursday suspected of shooting and stealing from a drug dealer in September.

Michael Hill, 21, was charged with first-degree assault and first-degree robbery, Lt. Diedrich Hohn said. The suspect was held on $250,000 bond and was arraigned Friday, he said.

On Sept. 19, Hill shot the victim in the stomach and stole about $300 and more than an ounce of marijuana from him, Hohn said. The incident took place behind Lucy’s Pizza Parlor on Stillwater Avenue in Stamford.

Police believe that two juveniles, who were previously arrested, set up the robbery and stood lookout for Hill, he said. The two juveniles were charged with first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, Hohn said.

The victim survived the shooting but has “life-altering injuries” because the bullet cannot be removed from his stomach, Hohn said. It was not life threatening, he added.
