STAMFORD, Conn. — Stamford will test its emergency phone call system on Monday, the mayor’s office says.
Businesses and residents in Stamford are eligible to sign up for the service and can receive messages by phone call, text or email. If you’re not in the system, then you will not be contacted, a statement said.
The password-protected system allows each resident to update his or her address and contact information if it changes. Addresses are required in case emergency information is neighborhood specific and not a citywide alert, the release said.
To register for the CodeRED alert, visit the city’s website and click on the Register for Stamford Alert link on the homepage. You can also call the Citizen’s Service Center at 203-977-4140.
Monday’s test of the system will take place in the evening. No specific time was given.
