ROBO the Friendly Robot delighted aspiring astronauts at Holy Spirit School's second cultural event of the year, "Go for the Stars!" a multimedia space program held at the Roman Catholic school in Stamford. The kids gained insight into the aerospace industry and may have been inspired to become the next generation of scientists, astronauts and engineers.

Holy Spirit School's Home School Association organized the event. Gary T. Pozzato, a traveling aerospace educator, ran the program. Pozzato made two presentations Feb. 16 at the school, one for prekindergartners to second-graders and another to third- through fifth-graders. Both groups interacted with ROBO and learned about orbits, microgravity and rockets as well as life in space. Volunteers got in on the fun by wearing "astronaut in flight suits" while performing live experiments.
