Bald is beautiful for Holy Spirit School student Michael Sasser Jr., who went through with his promise to shave his head in solidarity with children who have cancer, at a fundraiser in New Canaan Fire Headquarters on Saturday.

Sasser was the top fundraiser of 40 participants in the event to benefit St. Baldrick's Foundation, a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding research to help infants, children, teens and young adults with childhood cancers. He brought in $1,785 of the total amount raised, which was just shy of the goal of $20,000.
