A Stamford man was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday night on Smith Street. The man handed over his wallet and was left unharmed, Stamford Police say.

The thief was described as a 5-foot-6-inch black man wearing dark clothing and a knit hat. He was armed with a semiautomatic handgun, police say. He pointed the gun at the victim and demanded his wallet and belongings. Once the robber got the wallet he left on foot, police say.

■ Derrick Davis, 30, of Stamford was arrested for possession of less than 4 ounces of marijuana on Wednesday, April 20.

■ Rodney Gay, 45, of Stamford was arrested on Wednesday, April 20 and charged with possession of less than 4 ounces of marijuana, sale of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
