A Stamford man was arrested Monday when one of his kids called police after he allegedly hit his son in the head with a book. He had just picked up his son from school, where a teacher told him the child was misbehaving in class, Stamford police say.

Rohan Hilary Minott, 41, was charged with two counts of third-degree assault and two counts of risk of injury to a child. He was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday. The Department of Children and Families was notified of the incident.

Also in the police blotter:

• Teresa D’Alessio, 21, of Stamford, was charged with 14 counts of receipt from illegal use credit card, conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, fourth-degree larceny, 14 counts of illegal use of a credit card, credit card theft, 19 counts of third-degree identity theft, five counts of third-degree forgery and third-degree larceny. She was arrested Tuesday. The crimes allegedly took place in September.

• Ruben Garcia-Palencia, 33, of Stamford, was arrested Monday and charged with sex contact without consent, second-degree unlawful restraint and risk of injury to a child for an alleged incident Sunday.
