Stamford’s Citizen’s Service Center has received about 650 pothole complaints since the snow melted. And that’s a low estimate, according to Frank Fedeli, supervisor of the municipal call center. Callers often use phrases like “a whole bunch,” Fedeli says.

That’s why he is using a multiplier, which would put the actual count between 2,000 and 3,000, he says. City work crews have been filling 20 to 30 potholes a day, Fedeli says, adding that they should be finished in the next several weeks.

“The crews have been hustling,” Fedeli says.

The Daily Stamford called Fedeli for an article on potholes, but he did not respond until after it was published.
