Stamford children got to sing, dance and use their outside voices Wednesday afternoon at the Henry Bennett branch of the Ferguson Library when Marcia Louis visited. With songs and storytelling, Louis made sure all of the kids enjoyed themselves.

“My job is not to have a little fun, my job is not to have medium fun, my job is to have big fun,” she told the kids at the beginning of her show. With a wide array of musical instruments, including guitars, a harp and conga drum, and easy dance steps to follow, all the kids were able to keep up with Louis.

She mixed traditional songs and stories such as the ABCs and "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" with her own original songs, including “Watermelon” and “I’m Going to Kindergarten,” which is also the title of her latest album.

The Friends of the Ferguson Library sponsored the event.
